Junk Food In School.
Aug 27 2007, 7:25 PM EDT
This topic is very interesting to me because most schools sell junk food in vending machines, which makes younger kids and teenagers become bulk or become extremely overwieght. In one of my articles, elementary school children from the ages 9-11 aren't meeting the basic standards of physical activity guidelines in PE. Oakland schools have a strict law where elementary schools and middle schools can't have any after school sales that negotiates junk food.
fact: Children's health is becoming a BIG issue. 75% of beverages (soda) were sold in vending machines. 85% of snacks (cookies, chips & candy) was sold in vending machines. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

1) How junk food literally effect your body?2) Beside blocking vending machines' after school sales, what are other methods that are being used to keep kids aways from junk food and sugary beverages? 3) Do junk food and other soft drink contribute to other eating disorders such as obesity? Do you find this valuable? |
